OF MICE AND MEN AND SEXISM
Visual Communication
Multidisciplinary Team
This project was part of the Across RCA program, where our multidisciplinary team explored how school education can challenge gender inequality. We collaborated with the charity End Sexism in Schools to understand how misogyny and harmful attitudes often begin through the curriculum and cultural messages young people are exposed to.
Through expert conversations and secondary research, we used Of Mice and Men as a case study to examine how its portrayal of women normalizes violence and reinforces stereotypes.
As our final outcome, we created a visual booklet for End Sexism in Schools that highlighted problematic texts and explained the impact such portrayals have on young students. The booklet serves as a communication tool for the charity to engage with education boards, schools, and parents, helping them advocate for a more inclusive curriculum.
WHICH COURSE ARE YOU?

At the beginning of lockdown (March- April 2020), Instagram filters were blowing up everywhere from games to face enhancers to green screen effects. When I realised so many people were releasing filters everyday, I was intrigued. So, I looked up the software (Spark AR) and immediately got hooked.
Through this fun self learning project I created the ‘Which Course are you?’ filter. These types of filters are quick to use, fun and were small mood booster during the initial tough part of the pandemic.
This filter reached 11.4K impressions on Instagram.
